The Guild Inn Estate & Scarborough Bluffs Maternity Shoot | Laura and Giovanni

I was more than excited to shoot Laura and Giovanni's maternity shoot at The Guild Inn Estate. It was my first time there, and I must say, they came out exactly how I envisioned. We also shot at the Scarborough Bluffs, another breathtaking location. It's hard to believe that these two locations exist in Scarborough Ontario of all places. I shot their wedding back in 2016 (CLICK HERE to see their wedding) and we got EPIC images, so the pressure was on to produce the same level or epicness or to exceed it. Derrel Ho-Shing Photography's Best of 2016

With 2016 wrapping up, I thought I’d go back and reflect on the past year. It was a fun and eventful year, shooting destination weddings in Jamaica and Cuba, but the biggest moment of the year was the birth of my son Omari back in June. I'll never forget that moment I first held him in my arms. Truly the highlight of the year. But wedding-wise, I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing couples, and some of the best vendors which helped make my photos as epic as they are. I hope your 2016 was good as mine, but I hope 2017 is even better.  Here are my top moments and highlights from 2016. Let me know which photo was your favourite.

Scarborough Bluffs Maternity Shoot with Shaun and Michelle

Shaun and I go back about 20 years to our high school days in Scarborough. I had the privilege of shooting his and Michelle's wedding and their honeymoon photos in DR while I was shooting a wedding down there. Now Michelle is 37 weeks pregnant, expecting a little girl and I had the honor of shooting their awesome maternity shoot at the Scarborough Bluffs in Toronto Ontario. The thing I love about the Bluffs is, it doesn't look like Toronto. It's like you've escaped to a tropical island away from all the fast paced city life. I brought the DJI Phantom 3 drone along with my DSLR to capture some aerial shots and I think they came out amazing. We had such a fun shoot. Let me know what you guys think of this collection.
